Hargy Oil Palms Limited 2020 Cadets Tours Dami Oil Palm Research Station

A total of twelve (12) new cadets from Hargy Oil Palms Limited visited Dami Research on Saturday, 4th July 2020.  The purpose of the visit was to have an insight into research activities conducted by the respective sections/departments at PNG Oil Palm Research Association (PNGOPRA) and Dami Oil Palm Research Station (OPRS).  The team was led by the Officer-In charge of PNGOPRA in Bialla, Mr. Paul Simin and Hargy Oil Palm Limited Plantation Training Manager Mr. Lloyd Katao. Also accompanied with the Cadets were 3 Divisional Managers and 4 Field Supervisors.  

The team was welcomed by NBPOL Group Head of Research and Director of PNGOPRA Mr. Cheah See Sian upon their arrival.  The day began with presentations from the Head of Departments from both  PNGOPRA and OPRS.  Mr. Cheah See Siang then took the team to tour PNGOPRA Entomology and Plant Pathology Laboratories than proceeded to NBPOL Seed Processing Units before leaving Dami Research Station back to Hargy Oil Palms Limited.
