NAQIA Chief Plant Protection Officer (CPPO) Visits PNGOPRA Entomology Section

National Quarantine and Inspection Authority’s CPPO, Pere Kokoa, visited PNG OPRA Entomology Section on the 27th May 2021, after he visited the Seed Production Unit (SPU) of OPRS at Dami Research Station.  

SPU Manager Philip Vovola invited Mr Kokoa for an inspection visit to his department. After business dialogues with Mr Volola, he visited the Entomology and Plant Pathology sections of PNG OPRA. His visit to the team was to discuss import permits and related matters. During the meeting, Mr Kokoa presented an import permit on metarhizium fungus imported from New Zealand. He promised to work on another application on DNA material, also to import from New Zealand. After our meeting, he visited the Data Section of OPRS later during the day. 

Mr Kokoa flew back to Port Moresby on the next day.
