The section comprises of two executive staff (including the Head of Section) and 13 non executive permanent employees. The non executive staff includes 4 supervisors and 9 general support staff. Bulk of the staff (10 including the head of section) are based at Dami Oil Palm Research Station (OPRS) in West New Britain Province (WNBP) where most of the research activities are also conducted. One staff each is based at Hargy Oil Palms Ltd in Bialla (WNBP), Milne Bay Estates (Milne Bay Province) and Poliamba Estates (New Ireland Province), whilst two staff are based at Higaturu Oil Palms (Northern Province). Among the executive staff, one is based in Milne Bay, and assists the Head of Section to oversee all mainland operations of the section.
